150 Primary Schools in the Capital to Benefit From New Digital Education Initiative

ISLAMABAD (AIA) In a landmark move to promote digital literacy, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) is set to introduce computer and artificial intelligence (AI) classes in 150 primary schools across Islamabad next week. This initiative aims to prepare young students for the future by equipping them with critical technology skills, according to a press release issued yesterday.

The program is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Federal Education and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). The curriculum, developed in consultation with leading technology companies, focusses on foundational computer skills and basic AI concepts, ensuring it remains both innovative and relevant. The selected computer fellows for the program are well-qualified and trained to deliver these lessons effectively.

To complement this digital education push, the IT infrastructure in these schools will be upgraded, giving students access to modern technology and resources. This effort is part of the government’s broader vision to improve digital education across the country, aiming to cultivate a generation ready for the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
