Armed Forces Shoot Down 25 Israeli-Made Indian Drones: ISPR
— May 8, 2025
RAWALPINDI (AIA) The Pakistan Armed Forces have successfully shot down 25 Israeli-manufactured Harop drones used by India, employing both soft-kill and hard-kill systems, according to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The escalation follows what ISPR described as India’s “cowardly assault” on Tuesday, which resulted in the destruction of five Indian advanced aircraft, drones, and multiple military posts and reportedly caused casualties among Indian troops.
India, in a state of panic and confusion, has resorted to deploying the Israeli-made Harop drones to conduct further attacks on Pakistani territory. These unprovoked strikes, the ISPR stated, reflect India’s growing desperation and frustration over its mounting losses along the Line of Control.
Debris of the downed drones is being recovered from several locations across Pakistan.
The Pakistan Armed Forces are responding with full force, successfully thwarting all hostile designs and delivering what the military describes as a “decisive response” to the aggression.
In a press conference earlier, Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, revealed the locations where the drones were neutralised, including Lahore, Attock, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Chor, and areas near Karachi.
He said India’s continued deployment of these drones constitutes naked aggression, and Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain on high alert, effectively neutralising each threat.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry reiterated that the Pakistan Armed Forces are fully vigilant and prepared to respond to any form of threat with unwavering resolve.
