Pakistan Hails PKK Dissolution as Step Toward Peace in Türkiye

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Pakistan has welcomed the announcement of the Kurdish militant group PKK’s dissolution, calling it a significant step toward lasting peace and a terror-free Türkiye.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a post on social media platform X, said the historic development reflects the unwavering resolve of the Turkish leadership—under the guidance of “dear brother” President Recep Tayyip Erdogan—and the Turkish nation to continue their march toward reconciliation, unity and stability.
He added that Pakistan and Türkiye remain united in their commitment to eliminating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
