Zardari, Shehbaz Laud Armed Forces on Youm-e-Tashakur

ISLAMABAD (AIA) President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq on Youm-e-Tashakur, a day observed to thank Allah Almighty for Pakistan’s resounding victory against Indian aggression.
In their messages, the president and prime minister said the day commemorates the nation’s successful defence and the bravery shown by its armed forces in response to unprovoked Indian hostility.
Zardari reaffirmed that Pakistan will never compromise on its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and core national interests. He called the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos a proud moment in the nation’s history.
Shehbaz said Pakistan’s brave and professional armed forces responded in the enemy’s own language and wrote a golden chapter in military history. He said the Shaheens of the Pakistan Air Force delivered a befitting response to the aggressor.
