Health Sector Development a Top Priority: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal says health sector development continues to receive top priority at the federal level, with particular focus on quality, accessibility, and readiness.
He made these remarks during his surprise visit at the 200-bed emergency block at PIMS in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The emergency block is in the final stages of completion and will soon be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
The Minister said that new emergency tower will serve 10,000 patients daily. He further said that the new tower will provide cutting edge emergency facilities which will be a milestone in healthcare.
Ahsan Iqbal executed a detailed visit of all departments constructed in the facility, including advanced triage systems, trauma care units, surgical theaters, diagnostic services and intensive care capacities.
The Minister said that the purpose of his visit is to personally review project progress and ensure that timely actions are being taken at all levels so that the facility can be inaugurated timely.
