URAAN Overseas Summer Internship Programme Launched to Foster Youth Engagement

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has launched the “URAAN Overseas Summer Internship Scholars Programme,” aimed at providing overseas Pakistani students with a unique opportunity to engage in government-led initiatives. The program will place 31 high-achieving students from top international universities in core divisions of the Planning Commission for a six-week internship.
The internship is designed to offer scholars real-world, professionally enriching experiences, with each intern working on projects aligned with their academic and career aspirations under the guidance of experienced mentors. The program’s primary objective is to equip students with valuable skills and insights beyond routine administrative tasks.
Speaking at the launch, Minister Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the growing confidence in Pakistan’s direction, noting that families living abroad see this initiative as a meaningful opportunity for their children to reconnect with their homeland and contribute in a purposeful way.
