— July 19, 2025
ISLAMABAD (AIA) The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned of potential flash floods, urban inundation, and glacial water surges nationwide from July 19 to 25. A powerful southwest monsoon system and westerly wave are expected to bring heavy rains, disrupting daily life and posing risks to low-lying and mountainous communities. The NDMA has directed disaster management authorities to remain on high alert and advised citizens to avoid high-risk travel, stay indoors during intense downpours, and follow official guidance.
