Terror Plot Foiled Ahead of Independence Day: Balochistan CM Vows Crackdown on Militants

QUETTA (AIA) Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Monday announced that security forces successfully thwarted a terrorist plot aimed at targeting innocent civilians on August 14.
Speaking at a press conference alongside law enforcement officials in Quetta, the Chief Minister praised the vigilance and dedication of security personnel in maintaining peace across the province.
He firmly stated that anti-state elements will not be allowed to succeed in their subversive agenda. “Terrorists and their facilitators will be dealt with an iron hand,” he said.
CM Bugti also revealed that a teacher linked to banned Baloch separatist organizations has been arrested, underscoring the government’s commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and their support structures.
He reiterated that ensuring security and stability in Balochistan remains a top priority for both provincial authorities and federal security institutions.
