Chairing a meeting on AI promotion Saturday, he highlighted AI’s role in national economic development and directed forming a steering committee for AI implementation across sectors. Sharif stressed data protection, sovereignty, and responsible AI use, underscoring their importance. Plans include implementing a national AI policy, with an expert advisory panel being formed to guide efforts. The meeting included federal ministers and senior officials, reflecting the government’s focus on harnessing AI for economic growth.
