ISLAMABAD (AIA) Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima emphasized the government’s focus on emerging technologies to drive progress, highlighting the successful transition of 98 federal ministries to the e-office system and the judiciary’s digital transformation. She announced plans to train one million youth in AI, citing a 91% growth in Pakistani freelancers and remote workers. Fatima stressed the need for safe and responsible AI use, curbing misinformation, and promoting digital responsibility, while Secretary Zarrar Hasham Khan highlighted AI capacity building for public officials and localized AI models aligned with Pakistan’s priorities.
