— November 23, 2025
ISLAMABAD (AIA) Pakistan has significantly enhanced its international digital connectivity through the deployment of a high-capacity submarine cable system connecting the country with nations from Singapore to France.
The Ministry of Information Technology reports that the new fibre-optic network offers a data capacity of 100 terabytes per second, delivering one of the lowest-latency routes between Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Western Europe.
The deployment expands Pakistan’s international bandwidth and strengthens infrastructure for cloud computing, data centres, fintech, e-commerce, and digital services.
