Shehbaz Unveils Power Boost for Gwadar, Gilgit-Baltistan

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has greenlit electricity projects for Gwadar and Gilgit-Baltistan, chairing a power sector reforms meeting. The PM approved a comprehensive plan to resolve Gwadar’s electricity woes, citing uninterrupted supply as key to spurring economic growth and investments.
He emphasized Gilgit-Baltistan’s 100 MW solar project would ensure stable, clean electricity, prioritizing the region’s welfare and development. The federal government vowed to promote industrial activities, investment, and economic growth in Gilgit-Baltistan, with the Ministry of Power directed to implement the strategy effectively.
