ISLAMABAD (AIA) Libya and the OIC’s Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) have agreed to deepen collaboration in science, research, and technology through a new joint initiative.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Libyan Ambassador to Pakistan, Moamar Abdmutalib, and COMSTECH Coordinator General, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary.
Both sides agreed to launch the COMSTECH Libya Programme, which will foster scientific ties among Libya and OIC member and observer states. A key component includes establishing an Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre at the University of Tripoli, focusing on AI-driven solutions in health, agriculture, and environmental sustainability.
