CM Maryam Nawaz Launches Shrimp Farming to Boost Punjab’s Exports

LAHORE (AIA) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the launch of shrimp farming under the Blue Economy project will significantly enhance the province’s exports and drive sustainable economic development.
Chairing a meeting in Lahore, she said the initiative aims to convert barren and saline lands into productive zones, with 5,600 acres of shrimp estates being developed in Sargodha and Alipur.
The meeting was informed that nine ponds covering 20 acres have already been prepared, with shrimp seed released for research purposes.
