Climate Change a Failure of Global Cooperation, Justice: Pakistan Minister

LAHORE (AIA) Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musadik Malik has called on the international community to revamp global policies, emphasizing that climate change is a failure of international cooperation and justice, not just an environmental issue.
Addressing a ThinkFest session, Malik highlighted Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate-related disasters despite contributing less than 1% to global carbon emissions. He stressed that countries benefiting most from carbon-intensive industries often escape immediate consequences, while poorer nations suffer the most.
Malik urged a fair and inclusive response to climate change, based on data and ethics.
