9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women Opens in Islamabad
— July 12, 2026ISLAMABAD (AIA) The two-day 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women commenced in Islamabad on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Held under the theme “Socio-economic and Political Empowerment of Women in the OIC Countries: Challenges and Way Forward” the conference has brought together over 190 delegates from 57 OIC member states.
Ministers responsible for women and family affairs, senior government officials, representatives of OIC institutions, international organizations, and development partners are attending the forum to deliberate on advancing women’s socio-economic and political empowerment across OIC member countries.The conference will focus on key challenges and strategies to strengthen the role of women in member states.
