Pak-China Collaboration Deepens with New Agricultural Machinery Service Centre

BEIJING (AIA) The Overseas Luban Workshop Agricultural Machinery Service Centre for Pakistan was inaugurated at the International Conference Centre in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. This centre aims to strengthen Pakistan’s agricultural mechanisation capabilities and deepen China-Pakistan cooperation in the sector.

The centre’s unveiling, reported by China Economic Net (CEN) on Tuesday, was a joint initiative led by the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College, Tianjin Tailai Import and Export Co., Ltd., Tianjin Agricultural Mechanisation Technology Testing Service Centre, and Wugu Media.

Asif Shah, Honorary Consultant for the Pakistan Luban Workshop and Executive Board Member of the Punjab Agricultural Research Board, commended the project’s success in training over 1,000 agricultural machinery operators and maintenance technicians in Punjab. “The workshop has accelerated agricultural mechanisation by sharing Chinese technologies, receiving positive feedback from education experts, students, and engineers in Pakistan’s agricultural sector,” he remarked.

CAMDA President Hu Wei expressed hopes that the new service centre would foster a robust social service system for Chinese agricultural machinery in international markets. The Luban Workshop’s Agricultural Machinery Training Program at Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College has played a crucial role, equipping skilled overseas technicians with knowledge of agricultural machinery technologies as part of the Belt and Road Initiative’s goal of linking production, education, and research across borders.
