China Reaffirms Support for Pakistan in Fight Against Terrorism

BEIJING (AIA) China has pledged continued support to Pakistan in combating terrorism, asserting that any efforts to undermine the trust and cooperation between the two nations will fail, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian stated on Monday.
“Terrorism is a common enemy of humanity, and it is the shared responsibility of the international community to prevent further tragedies,” Jian said during a regular briefing. Responding to concerns over the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, he affirmed China’s commitment to safeguarding the safety of its citizens, projects, and institutions overseas.
“China and Pakistan have the resolve and capability to counter any attempt to damage our relations, and terrorists will face the consequences of their actions,” Jian added. He emphasised that the longstanding partnership between China and Pakistan, rooted in “iron-clad friendship,” remains unshakable.
Jian also highlighted China’s dedication to supporting Pakistan’s socio-economic development and pledged ongoing collaboration across multiple fields for the mutual benefit of both nations.
