Pakistan Navy Gears Up for ‘Sea Guard-II’ to Tackle Maritime Threats

ISLAMABAD (AIA) The Pakistan Navy will conduct Exercise Sea Guard 2025 Edition II from 24 to 28 February to assess and strengthen maritime security protocols with all relevant stakeholders.
In a message marking the exercise, Commander Coast Rear Admiral Faisal Amin highlighted Pakistan’s expansive coastal belt, which stretches over 1,000 kilometres and is rich in natural resources. He noted that alongside these resources come significant challenges, including illegal fishing, drug trafficking, human smuggling, and climate change.
Rear Admiral Amin emphasised the importance of joint efforts, recalling that more than 50 stakeholders participated in Exercise Sea Guard 2024—a testament to the collective trust in the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime security.
He added that the upcoming exercise will be a key milestone in enhancing joint operational capabilities and addressing evolving security threats in Pakistan’s maritime region.
The Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Centre, established in 2013, continues to serve as a vital platform for collaboration among stakeholders in the maritime sector.
