Shehbaz Orders Full Transparency in Jinnah Medical Complex Project

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that complete transparency be ensured at every stage of the construction of the Jinnah Medical Complex.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, he instructed that consultants and contractors for design, supervision, and construction be hired through international tendering.
The prime minister said he would personally oversee all stages of the project. He emphasised that the Jinnah Medical Complex would be a state-of-the-art hospital, offering the best medical facilities and advanced research tools.
The meeting was informed that the PC-I for the project would soon be finalised in consultation with all stakeholders. An initial capital of Rs3.5 billion has already been transferred to the trust fund established for the construction of the complex.
The over 1,000-bed medical complex will house nine Centres of Excellence.
