Zero-Waste Vision: Punjab Launches Environmental Protection Force

LAHORE (AIA) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Monday launched the province’s first Environmental Protection Force during a grand passing-out parade held in Lahore.
The ceremony marked a significant step in the government’s mission to combat pollution and safeguard natural resources and the environment.
During the event, the newly trained Vigilance Squad of the force presented a ceremonial salute to the chief minister.
Addressing the ceremony, the chief minister said the government is working towards a zero-waste policy, and the operations of the new force will be expanded across the province.
Speaking at the event, Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb described it as a timely and visionary initiative by the chief minister, reflecting a strong commitment to environmental protection.
