AIOU, Virtual University Students Now Eligible for PM Laptop Scheme

ISLAMABAD (AIA) The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the inclusion of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and Virtual University (VU) students in the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme.
According to a press release issued Saturday, the initiative aims to equip distance learning students with modern technology, promoting digital education and enhancing their academic experience. Merit-based and deserving students will receive laptops to facilitate their studies and provide global-standard online learning opportunities.

Welcoming the move, AIOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Nasir Mahmood and VU Acting Rector called the decision a milestone in advancing modern education facilities. They expressed gratitude to the HEC, stating that the scheme would enhance learning quality and help shape a successful future for students.
