China-Pakistan Ties: PM Shehbaz Seeks Timely CPEC Implementation

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the need for timely implementation of the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), lauding China’s generous support to Pakistan.
During a meeting with Vice Minister, International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Ms Sun Haiyan, PM Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the One China Policy and expressed his warm greetings to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leadership.
The meeting highlighted the strong ties between the two countries, with Ms Sun Haiyan emphasizing China’s commitment to strengthening relations with Pakistan. She congratulated PM Shehbaz for bringing economic and political stability to the country and appreciated his leadership role in unifying political entities for effective governance.
PM Shehbaz also extended an invitation to President Xi Jinping to visit Pakistan this year, marking a special year for both countries as they celebrate 75 years of diplomatic ties.
