DHAKA (AIA) Hundreds of government job seekers protested at Shahbagh in Dhaka today, blocking the intersection to demand an increase in the age limit for applying for government jobs from 30 to 35.
Traffic in the Shahbagh area came to a halt around noon, according to eyewitnesses. The protesters carried a banner urging the chief adviser to address their concerns.
One protester said, “The current age limit for applying to a civil service job is 30. We demand that the limit be raised to 35. We have been making this demand for 14 years. But we did not get any response.”
