International Experts to Convene at SDPI’s Flagship Sustainable Development Conference

ISLAMABAD (AIA) The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) will launch its flagship 27th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC) on November 4-7, bringing together international experts to address global challenges through innovative solutions. Under this year’s theme, “From Fragility to Resilience: Enhancing Sustainable Development,” the event will highlight SDPI’s commitment to advancing resilient strategies for sustainable development, according to a press release issued Sunday.
The opening plenaries will include prominent attendees, such as Acting President and Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Romina Khurshid Alam, and Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Climate Change, Senator Sherry Rehman. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of Pakistan’s Supreme Court will also participate.
The SDC serves as a leading platform for researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and academics worldwide to foster transformative dialogue and share pioneering insights on sustainability. This year’s event will also host the second Sustainability Investment Expo (SIE 2024), themed “Pioneering Solutions for Climate Resilience,” aiming to inspire collaboration on critical environmental and socio-economic issues.
Conference highlights include sessions on Emerging Technologies and AI, Building Resilient Communities, Governance Reforms, Transforming Food Systems, and Empowering Women in Tech. SDPI will publish an anthology of peer-reviewed papers and policy recommendations from the conference to inform decision-makers and promote impactful change.
