Italy Reserves 10,500 Jobs for Pakistani Workers in Landmark Move

ISLAMABAD (AIA) In a major boost to overseas employment, Italy has allocated a labor quota of 10,500 jobs for Pakistani workers over the next three years.
According to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, 3,500 Pakistanis will be hired annually including 1,500 seasonal and 2,000 non-seasonal positions.
A ministry spokesperson hailed the decision as a historic first, with Italy becoming the first European nation to offer a country-specific labor quota to Pakistan.
To enhance cooperation, the second Pakistan-Italy Joint Working Group meeting is set to take place in Islamabad in February 2026
