JazzCash Upgrades E-commerce Gateway with Dgpays for Faster, Safer Transactions

ISLAMABAD (AIA) JazzCash, Pakistan’s largest fintech company, has partnered with Dgpays to enhance its e-commerce payment gateway, aiming to improve transaction speed, security, and user experience for merchants and consumers nationwide. The agreement with Dgpays, a major financial tech provider in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), marks a significant step forward in Pakistan’s digital payment evolution, according to a company release.
Pakistan’s shift to cashless payments is gaining momentum, with digital wallet transactions up 134% year-on-year, reaching 269 million by June 2024. Digital wallets now account for 87% of all online e-commerce payments, underscoring the demand for robust digital payment solutions. JazzCash, which supports over 1,700 e-commerce merchants across various sectors, processed more than 110 million transactions in the first three quarters of 2024—an impressive 150% year-on-year growth.
