MONSOON ALERT: Punjab Govt Activates Emergency Plan

LAHORE (AIA) The implementation of the Punjab Monsoon Emergency Plan has begun across the province.The Punjab Chief Minister has sought a minute to minute implementation report of the Plan.
At district level, Emergency Operation Centers have been setup, which will remain operational round the clock. The current spell of monsoon rainfall will continue till Tuesday in different parts of the province.
Director General of PDMA, Irfan Ali Kathia asked citizens to take precautionary measures and remain at safe places during thunderstorms and keep speed of vehicles slow. He said that in case of any emergency, public can contact PDMA Helpline 1129.
