Nation Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Renewed Pledge

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Pakistan marked its 79th Independence Day with fervor and patriotism, reaffirming its commitment to becoming a true Islamic welfare state. The day began with 31-gun and 21-gun salutes in the capital and provinces, respectively. Special prayers were offered for peace and prosperity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hoisted the national flag at the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad, attended by senior officials and students. Similar ceremonies were held across the country, including in provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, with leaders and officials participating. The recent victory in Maarka-e-Haq has further amplified the nation’s enthusiasm for this year’s celebrations.
