NDMA Issues Alert for Urban Flooding in Sindh, Balochistan, and South Punjab

ISLAMABAD (AIA) The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning of potential urban flooding in various parts of Sindh, Balochistan, and Southern Punjab due to expected heavy rainfall in the coming days.
The NDMA’s meteorological analysis indicates that southeastern Sindh is likely to experience heavy rainfall until Wednesday, which may lead to urban flooding in low-lying coastal districts. Additionally, the Kirthar ranges in Balochistan, particularly the streams of Lasbela and Khuzdar, are at risk of flash flooding.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also predicted in the Sulaiman range and Southern Punjab, which could result in increased water flow in rivers and streams.
Safety Advisory:
The NDMA has advised the public to take necessary precautions and:
– Avoid crossing rivers and streams during this period

– Follow instructions from local authorities

– Stay informed about weather updates and warnings
The NDMA urges residents and travelers in the affected areas to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to ensure their safety.
