Nestlé Boosts Pakistan Investment with $60m Expansion

DAVOS (AIA) Global food giant Nestlé has announced an additional $60 million investment in Pakistan, signaling strong confidence in the country’s economic outlook. Executive Vice President Remy Ejel made the announcement at a business roundtable on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, highlighting plans for robust expansion and reaffirming Nestlé’s long-term commitment to Pakistan.
The investment will enable Nestlé to use Pakistan as a regional manufacturing and export hub, exporting products to 26 countries. Ejel cited Pakistan’s demographic profile, growing nutrition needs, and underpenetrated value-added food segments as key drivers for growth.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb welcomed the investment, emphasizing Pakistan’s opportunities in affordable nutrition, climate-resilient dairy, and export-oriented manufacturing. The government aims to position Pakistan as a competitive base for regional production and global value chains.
