Pakistan, China Pledge to Deepen Strategic Partnership

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their resolve to deepen their all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, aligning with the vision of their respective leaderships. The commitment was highlighted during the Fourth Round of Pakistan-China Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) held in Beijing, the Foreign Office announced on Saturday.
Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch led Pakistan’s delegation, while Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong headed the Chinese side. Both nations expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and agreed to enhance coordination and consultation through high-level exchanges and dialogue mechanisms.
Baloch described the Pakistan-China relationship as “special and unique,” emphasising the deep friendship cherished by both governments and people. The discussions reviewed the entire spectrum of cooperation, particularly focusing on advancing projects under CPEC 2.0 for high-quality development.
The two sides agreed to expand collaboration in information technology, agriculture, and clean energy, underpinned by a commitment to win-win cooperation and inclusive development. They also stressed the importance of stronger coordination at multilateral forums, including the United Nations Security Council.
Foreign Secretary Baloch also held a meeting with Executive Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu, where both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional and international matters of mutual interest.
