Pakistan Declares Nationwide Holiday for Allama Iqbal Day

ISLAMABAD (AIA) The Government of Pakistan announced on Thursday that a public holiday will be observed nationwide on November 9, 2024, in honour of the birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the revered poet, philosopher, and visionary leader.
A notification from the Cabinet Division confirmed that Saturday, November 9, will be a public holiday across the country to commemorate “Allama Iqbal Day,” marking Iqbal’s significant contributions to Pakistan’s cultural and ideological foundation.
