Pakistan, EU Reaffirm Commitment to Deepen Economic Ties via GSP+

BRUSSELS (AIA) Pakistan and the European Union have pledged to enhance economic, trade, and investment cooperation, particularly through the EU’s GSP+ framework.
The resolve came during the 7th Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas in Brussels.
The dialogue reviewed the full scope of bilateral relations, regional developments, and global challenges, including climate change and connectivity. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to a broad-based partnership under the Strategic Engagement Plan (SEP 2019).
On the sidelines, Ishaq Dar also held meetings with foreign ministers of Brunei and Japan, emphasizing stronger bilateral ties in trade, IT, education, and tourism.
