Palestinian Students Find ‘Second Home’ in Pakistan Amid Global Inaction

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed a group of Palestinian students from war-torn Gaza, assuring them of access to quality education and all necessary facilities in their “second home,” Pakistan. The prime minister also condemned the international community’s inaction in addressing the genocide of Palestinians, noting the loss of over 43,000 lives and the thousands more who have been maimed or injured.

Sharif called for urgent collective action, criticising the destruction of Palestinian cities and the demolition of buildings while the world remains silent, despite United Nations Security Council resolutions and the verdict of the International Court of Justice. He drew attention to international interventions in Sudan and Bosnia, emphasising the need for a unified response to injustice.

The prime minister reassured the students that Pakistan would fully cover the cost of their education and provide every possible facility during their stay. He expressed gratitude to organisations such as the Al-Khidmat Foundation for their support through the Gaza Health Outreach Programme.
