PDMA Punjab Declares 27 Flood-Hit Districts Disaster Areas

LAHORE (AIA) The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has declared 72 tehsils in 27 flood-affected districts as disaster-hit areas, directing immediate relief and rehabilitation efforts. The move, made in collaboration with the Board of Revenue Punjab, aims to provide financial assistance to affected families, waive land revenue and irrigation charges, and defer agricultural loans. Relief camps will be set up, and projects launched to rehabilitate damaged infrastructure, including roads, schools, and health centers.
