PM Shehbaz Directs Provinces to Assess Flood Damages
ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed all provinces to conduct a thorough assessment of damages caused by recent floods and rains to formulate an effective rehabilitation plan. During a review meeting in Islamabad, he emphasized the need for a comprehensive assessment, including human and financial losses, crop destruction, and livestock losses. The PM also directed officials to prioritize infrastructure restoration, protect crops from post-flood diseases, and engage with affected communities throughout the recovery phase. Damage assessments for key crops are underway and expected to be completed within 15 days.
