PM Vows Modern Facilities and Support for Rising Athletes

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government has made sports a central pillar of its development agenda, recognising it as a powerful tool for national development, youth empowerment, and for projecting Pakistan’s identity on the global stage.
In a message issued on the occasion of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, observed today, the PM said Pakistan’s national sports policy focuses on grassroots inclusion, talent discovery, gender equality, and inclusivity.
He highlighted that through initiatives like the Arshad Nadeem High Performance Academy, young athletes are being prepared to meet future challenges through scientific training, financial support, and access to modern facilities.
