President Zardari to Address International Forum in Ashgabat

ASHGABAT (AIA) President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Turkmenistan on Thursday for a two-day visit to attend the International Forum on “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – Basis of Peace and Development,” taking place in Ashgabat.
Upon his arrival at Ashgabat Airport, President Zardari was welcomed by Batyr Amanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan. As part of the traditional welcome, the President was presented with bread and flowers.
The forum, which runs from October 10 to 11, marks the 300th birth anniversary of Magtymguly Faragi, a celebrated Turkmen thinker, poet, and philosopher. President Zardari is scheduled to address the participants during the event.
In addition to his participation in the forum, President Zardari is expected to hold bilateral meetings with Turkmen leaders on the sidelines of the event.
