Punjab steps up anti-smog drive with digital drone surveillance
— September 29, 2026LAHORE (AIA) The Punjab government has introduced smart field enforcement, monitoring and a digital drone surveillance system to tackle smog and air pollution across the province.
According to the Punjab Environment Protection and Climate Change Department, more than Rs 300 million in fines have been imposed this year for environmental violations.
The government has also intensified measures to prevent the burning of paddy residue.
