Security On High Alert As Muharram Processions Commence

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Law enforcement agencies are on high alert during the 9th and 10th Muharram processions across Pakistan. A comprehensive security plan is in place, with control rooms monitoring the situation at federal and provincial levels.
A total of 2,763 mourning processions and 7,598 majalis are being held today. Round-the-clock surveillance is being conducted in 1,129 sensitive areas using drones and CCTV cameras. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that maintaining law and order is the government’s top priority.
