Shahid Khaqan Abbasi And Miftah Ismail Launch A New Political Party With A Vision For Economic Transformation

ISLAMABAD (AIA) In a significant development in the country’s political landscape, veteran politicians Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail launched the Awaam Pakistan Party on Saturday, promising a new era of economic prosperity and political reform.
Notable politicians, including former Punjab Provincial Minister Zaeem Qadri, former Federal Health Minister Dr. Zafar Mirza, and former Governor Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, attended the launch ceremony in Islamabad.
The Awaam Pakistan Party’s slogan, “Badlenge Nizam” (We Will Change the System), reflects the party’s commitment to transforming the country’s political and economic landscape. The party’s flag, featuring green and blue colours with white lettering, symbolizes its vision for a brighter future. Fatima Atif, a member of the organising committee, reports that on June 19, the party held intra-party elections in which Miftah Ismail was elected secretary and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was elected convener.
Miftah Ismail, addressing the audience, emphasized the need for economic reform, criticizing the current coalition government for squandering opportunities for much-needed change. He outlined the party’s economic agenda, which includes extending tax concessions to middle-income and salaried classes, reducing annual government expenditure, and encouraging private sector growth through the privatization of public organizations.
The party’s leadership also stressed the importance of active public involvement in politics, governance, and the economy, with a focus on uplifting the poor and marginalized segments of society.
With members from all four provinces already joining the party, the leadership is determined to build a strong foundation for future political success. As Miftah Ismail remarked, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.”
The launch of the Awaam Pakistan Party marks a significant development in Pakistan’s political landscape, offering a new vision for economic prosperity and political reform. As the party begins its journey, it is sure to capture the interest and attention of both political observers and the general public.
