Veteran Actress Ayesha Khan Found Dead in Karachi Apartment

KARACHI (AIA) Renowned TV artist Ayesha Khan was found dead in her Gulshan-e-Iqbal apartment on Thursday night, according to police, hospital, and rescue services officials. The 83-year-old actress, known for her memorable roles in iconic TV plays such as “Afshan,” “Aroosa,” “Family 93,” “Shaam Se Pehle,” and “Bandhan,” appeared to have died of natural causes.
The Edhi Foundation Pakistan recovered her body and took it to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. Police surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed stated that the post-mortem has been delayed pending the arrival of Khan’s son from abroad.
Khan, the elder sister of renowned actress Khalida Riasat, lived alone in the apartment as her children were abroad. A relative discovered her body on Thursday night. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
