Youth is Pakistan’s Valuable Asset, Says Gen Asim Munir

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, emphasised the importance of youth as Pakistan’s most valuable asset during his speech at a Youth Convention on Wednesday. He promised to safeguard and empower the country’s youth, as they hold the key to the country’s future.
Speaking to the audience, General Munir highlighted the significance of knowledge, stating that it is what sets individuals apart. He expressed confidence in the future of Pakistan, citing the determination and potential he observed in the eyes of the young attendees.
The Army Chief highlighted the state’s responsibility to keep the masses at bay from the malicious implications of social media-induced confusion and seditions. He said that a strong relationship between the people, the government, and the army guarantees a more secured and developed Pakistan.
Challengng those who predicted the country’s economic collapse, General Munir questioned, “Where are they today? He urged the youth to appreciate the value of freedom, reminding them of the turmoil faced by people in Libya, Syria, Kashmir, and Gaza. “As Muslims, we are forbidden from despair,” he added.
Quoting a verse from the Quran, the COAS reminded the youth that life is a series of tests: “Do people think that they will be left alone for saying, ‘We believe,’ and they will not be tested?
At the end of the speech, the Army Chief recited a poem by Allama Iqbal addressing the youth:
The destiny of nations is in the hands of individuals.Every individual is the star of the destiny of the nation.
During the subsequent Q&A session, the COAS cleared the position of the Pakistan Army on various issues.
