Karachi-Rohri Railway Track Upgrade to Begin in January

RAWALPINDI (AIA) Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has announced that the groundbreaking ceremony for the upgradation of the Karachi-Rohri railway track will be held in January next year. The Rohri-Peshawar section will be developed with Saudi Arabian investment, while the tender for the Naukundi-Rohri section is set to be floated next month. Abbasi highlighted ongoing reforms, including online seat and freight bookings, and plans to outsource hospitals, schools, and train operations to improve performance.
