Punjab farmers to get interest-free loans under Livestock Card scheme
— October 14, 2026LAHORE (AIA) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated the second phase of the Livestock Card scheme, extending interest-free loans and other facilities to livestock farmers across the province.
The financing will help farmers purchase cattle feed, silage and mineral mixtures to improve animal nutrition and increase meat production.
Farmers will repay the principal amount, while the Punjab government will cover the interest costs.
