Pakistan Celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) With Great Zeal

ISLAMABAD (AIA) The nation celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) on Tuesday with great religious fervour and enthusiasm, honouring the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and his enduring message of peace, compassion, and brotherhood.

Across Islamabad, as well as other parts of the country, Milad processions filled the streets with believers carrying banners and chanting praises for the Prophet. Citizens from all walks of life participated in these joyous festivities. The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in provincial capitals, paying homage to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
In addition to religious gatherings, numerous community events were held, with food distribution to the needy, in line with the Prophet’s message of charity and compassion. The government, as in previous years, declared the day a public holiday. Public and private buildings, mosques, and streets were beautifully decorated with fairy lights and green flags.

Special prayers were offered in mosques across the country for the unity, solidarity, progress, and welfare of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah. Authorities executed comprehensive security plans, ensuring heightened security around processions and illuminated buildings. In some areas, mobile services were temporarily suspended near procession routes for safety reasons.
Educational institutions also observed the occasion, organising Milad, Naat, and Qirat competitions to emphasise the significance of the Prophet’s life and teachings during the month of Rabi ul Awwal.

The capital, like the rest of the country, witnessed extraordinary displays of illumination on both public and private buildings, reflecting the deep reverence for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on this blessed occasion.
