Punjab Opens Registration for 2nd Phase of Dhee Rani Programme

LAHORE (AIA) Following the successful completion of its first phase, registration for the second phase of the Punjab Dhee Rani Programme, which includes 1,500 mass weddings, has officially begun.
Eligible applicants can submit their applications online at cmp.punjab.gov.pk, in person, or at the Deputy Director Social Welfare office in their respective districts. A dedicated helpline (1312) has been set up to provide guidance and assistance regarding the programme.
Under this initiative, the Punjab government will arrange meals for the bride, groom, and their close relatives. Each newlywed couple will receive Rs100,000 as salaami via ATM card, along with essential furniture and clothing as wedding gifts.
Speaking on the initiative, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting underprivileged segments of society and addressing their challenges.
