AJK govt prioritises development of remote areas, says Gilani
— September 16, 2026MUZAFFARABAD (AIA) Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani has said the legal fraternity has a key role in upholding the rule of law, protecting citizens’ rights and ensuring access to justice.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of the Central Bar Association, which called on him in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday.
Gilani said lawyers have played an important role in promoting democratic values, safeguarding constitutional rights and strengthening the rule of law in the territory.
Speaking to PML-N workers from Neelum Valley, the prime minister said the development of remote areas across Azad Jammu and Kashmir was among the government’s top priorities.
