Green Future: Sindh Launches EV Taxi Service Across Province

KARACHI (AIA) The Government of Sindh has announced plans to introduce an electric vehicle (EV) taxi service across the province, aiming to promote environmentally friendly transportation.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Sindh’s Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, held in Karachi.
Speaking at the meeting, Memon revealed that the provincial government is also planning to establish a comprehensive EV charging network across major urban and rural areas to support the initiative.
Additionally, the minister announced the creation of a regulatory body to oversee and ensure the smooth operations of the EV taxi service, underscoring the government’s commitment to sustainable and efficient public transportation.
